South West Youth Strings

In 2011 WA Youth Orchestras established two full time string youth orchestras that will meet weekly in the South West with the support of local communities.

In 2013 SWYS hope to again present schools concerts in the region, and will present a full day of intensive workshops along with other string players from across the region.

How to join

In order to create an inclusive, supportive and non-competitive environment, membership will be available via application and not audition for 2012. Applicants will be placed in one of the two string ensembles according to their level and ability.

Please fill out the application form at the end of the Prospectus on our Auditions page, and return it to the WA Youth Orchestras office for processing.
