WA Youth Orchestras invites you to make a personal contribution to the future of music.  By supporting our endeavors to create an inspirational environment in which young musicians can thrive, our generous donors are not only ensuring the continued success of WA Youth Orchestras ensembles, but also a healthy future for Australian music.

You can choose which project you would like your donation to contribute to; Towards The Carol Day OAM & Peter Moore OAM Fund, towards instrument purchase and maintenance, to acquire orchestral sheet music, to support our International Conductor Program, to assist in funding our instrumental tutorials and orchestral mentoring, to contribute towards touring, or simply to use where it is most needed.

Help us raise $500,000 by our 40^th Birthday in 2014

History

As the Western Australian Youth Orchestras (WAYO) approaches its 40^th birthday in 2014, we hope to establish a donation fund to secure WAYO's long-term future.

Carol Day OAM is a co-founder of WAYO and has been an active and dedicated voluntary Board member since 1974 and Chair since 1988. Peter Moore OAM has been the wonderful face of WAYO and its Music Director since 1986.

We would like the name the donation fund The Carol Day & Peter Moore Fund as way expressing our thanks for their outstanding contribution to WAYO over a combined total of nearly 65 years of loyal and outstanding service.

It is typical that funds like these are established following the departure of such valuable contributors to WAYO, but we trust Carol and Peter will continue to contribute to WAYO for many years to come and would like to establish this donation fund now, so they can see WAYO's future assured and so that the Fund remains a permanent legacy of their significant work.

Why Donate?

Carol and Peter's commitment and talent has touched and benefited well over 500,000 current and past members as well as current and past audience members.

We encourage you to make a donation if you are able, to thank Carol and Peter. All donations of $2 and over are tax deductible and all donations of $50 and over will be added to our wall of thanks on our website and have your name listed in all our programs from next year until 2014. You may also remain anonymous if you wish. To create a permanent legacy it is hoped that only the interest from The Carol Day & Peter Moore Fund is used for WAYO's activities and to continue providing its award-winning experiences to many more Western Australians.

WAYO does not employ any fundraisers, philanthropic or sponsorship staff, so your money is going straight to WAYO activities and not to staffing or overheads.

Any amount, no matter how large or small, makes a difference.
