The Sinfonietta String Orchestra is the entry-level of orchestral playing within the WA Youth Orchestras Association.
Weekly rehearsals focus on string technique, orchestral practice and ensemble performance skills. These skills are needed by younger, less experienced string players to assist them in becoming an integral part of any ensemble.
Nurtured under the baton of string specialist Jeanette Teh, this positive and professional environment allows young musicians to develop skills and confidence to assist them in performing as a string orchestra.
Regular performances take place at the Fremantle Town Hall and the Government House Ballroom. Many members progress from this orchestra into the Collegium Orchestra.
